Kyparissia is a seaside ton on the southwest part of Peloponnesus. Built on the northwest slopes of Mt Spychro and the foothills of Mt Egaleo, it is devided into the "Upper Town" (Ano Poli) and the "New" or "Lower Town" (Kato Poli) which was built more recently and reaches down to the sea.
Two - storey houses with beautiful balconies and decorated entrances show the prosperity of the city in the past.
A beautiful beach side village with 1250 people approx 61km northwest of Kalamata. The size of the castle is definitely impressive. The south side overlooks the sea which a passageway leads to the fortified island of Bourtzi with the multiple rooftops and embrasures that protected the entrance of the port that was built around 1500.
A beautiful village with white houses with gardens and flowers that remind you more of a Greek island. The impressive arches of its building, the main square with the cannons and the gigantic plane tree. It is built amphitheatrically on two small hills and has a small rock island in the middle of its port known as Marathonisi or Chelonaki.
