The sandy beach of Kyra Panagia is one of the most famous, wonderful, clean and well organized beaches of Karpathos. This beach is lying between two mountains and has a fine mixture of white sand and smooth pebbles, and crystalline waters. It is close to Apella beach, 14 kilometres north - east of Pigadia Village.

A few rooms and apartments as well as a hotel and a tavern are standing on Kyra Panagia. Umbrellas and sun beds are available for rent.

The sandy beach of Achata is a lovely and quiet beach with nice sand and pebbles and a wonderful sea with fascinating colors. It is situated close to the beach of Agia Panagia some 13 kilometers northern to Pigadia.

It is lying in a cove, surrounded by imountains and verdant vegetation. A small tavern is standing on the beach, which has no rentals or accommodations.

The area of Amopi is located south-west of Pigadia, in a bay and offers 3 sandy beaches.

Small Amopi is at a short walking distance from big Amopi and has fine sand with azure waters, taverns, sun beds and umbrellas are available.

Megali Amopi or Votsalakia is popular among families with children because the water is shallow.

Umbrellas and sun beds are available for rent as well as all kinds of accommodations, a supermarket and some taverns.

A bus leaving from Pigadia is serving Megali Amopi.

Apella is the most well known beach of Karpathos. It is a sandy beach with nice white sand and pebbles and with crystal clear deep sea. It is situated some 16 kilometers northern to Pigadia, within a fascinating pine-clad environment.

Pine trees are blended with the rocks surrounding the beach, forming a beautiful image. There are no rentals or any kind of accommodations in this magical bay.

Near the beautiful coastal village of Lefkos, 33 kilometres north-west of Pigadia, visitors will find three beaches with white sandy beaches and emerald waters. The first, called Gialou Chorafi ("the field on the beach") is the best organized of them. The second is the small quite sandy beach of Panagias Limani ("the port of Holy Mother") and the last is the impressive beach of Francolimnionas, a well organized beach opposite to the small islet of Sokastro.

21 kilometres away from Pigadia Village, on the western coast of Karpathos Island, there is a beautiful sandy beach with crystalline waters.

Arkassa is also known as Agios Nikolaos Beach. It is a beautiful sandy beach. It is one of the best beaches of the island for surfing -there are always big waves. It is a sandy beach with nice white sand and shallow sea. The characteristic feature of the beach is the sea front taverns offering fresh fish and local dishes.

There are sunbeds and umbrellas, showers. It is reachable by car or by bus from Pigadia Village.

Damatria is a beautiful sand-and-pebble beach with shallow waters on the south-east coast of Karpathos, ideal for families.

From the beach you may see the islet of Mira across.

The beautiful beach of Diakoftis is situated at the southwestern coast of the island, some 21 kilometers far from Pigadia Village. Diakoftis is a beautiful beach on the southern coast of Karpathos Island with white sand and shallow emerald waters. It is divided into two smaller beaches.

There are no umbrellas, sunbeds or restaurants at the area.

Afoti is a beautiful sandy beach with umbrellas and sunbeds near the capital of Karpathos island.

There are plenty of restaurants and taverns in the area.

Argilopotamos is beautiful beach with white sand and shallow waters and great waves making it ideal for surfing.

There is a canteen for all the necessary supplies.

The long sandy beach of Pera Ammos is separated from Votsalakia by a small peninsula with a small church on it. It is situated 6 kilometers far from Pigadia Village, at the South. Pera Ammos is a beautiful beach with relatively shallow waters which make it ideal for families.

There are many taverns, restaurants and shops along the beach.

Psoraris is a long sandy beach on the south-west coast of Karpathos.

Being a remote beach, there are no canteens, sunbeds or umbrellas available.

Valias is a long pebble beach with deep waters on the south-east coast of Karpathos. The strong winds blowing in the area make it suitable for wind-surfing.

There are umbrellas, sunbeds and drinking water on the beach, as well as a couple of restaurants in the close area.

Vrontis is a sand-and pebble beach easily accessible.
